Meggitt Sensing Systems divisions Endevco to offer systems for accomplishing this combustion pressure monitoring as well as other protection and condition monitoring. The combustion monitoring system consists of high-temperature dynamic sensors with high temperature cables, as well as DIN rail mounted multi-channel signal conditioning modules. The sensor is mounted directly into the combustion chamber of the turbine, back set from the combustor lining. These sensors provide real-time information about the flame conditions in the chamber and provide data to identify performance trending. Information from this active control system allows the operator to run closer to maximum lean fuel point (stoichiometric point).
The Endevco Series 500 and Vibro-Meter CP Series dynamic high-temperature pressure sensors are hermetically sealed with all inconnel housing which contain

sensors by endevco

elements. The units are designed to have extremely low cross-axis sensitivity and are vibration compensated to ensure the output is directly proportional to the changes in pressure in the combustor and not part of the machinery vibration. The Endevco Model 6917 high-temperature, ultra low-noise cable ensures that the signal is free from EMI and RFI influence. Wilcoxon’s IT Series charge converter provides signal conversion with low-noise, high dynamic range AC signal charge conversion and wide pass response.
